FARMING AND LIVESTOCK
AGRICULTURE
Agriculture is a stream of life for most Haitians. It is also a sustainable avenue for our ministry to the Haitian people. We employ approximately 11 full time farmers that work 17 acres of land. We grow several different crops.
Our cover crops consist of: eggplant, watermelon, cow peas, hot peppers, Papaya and cantaloupe.
Our cash crops consist of: plantains, habanero peppers, and key limes (we have 530 trees planted We hope to subsidize our operation costs with income we generate from the sell of our produce. God has been more than faithful as we produce numerous crops and food for our consumption and all that we sell at local markets. The God of Heaven has enabled us to bring success and ministry opportunities to many within the ministry staff and the community we serve in Bercy.
LIVESTOCK
Livestock management and care is a critical part of Haitian culture and livelihood. Many Haitians in the rural areas of Haiti have some sort of animal for transportation of goods or a potential food source for income. Therefore our livestock program serves many purposes:

•Income - sell goats for meat, sell milk, sell cheese, produce goat milk soap for sale in our boutique, and Manure can be sold to local farmers
CHICKENS

•sell chickens on the local market for meat

PIGS
